Ultimate Ham & Cheese Toastie


Directions

Step 1

Butter one side of each slice of sourdough.

Step 2

Flip the bread over and layer the cheese and Carroll’s Slow Cooked Ham onto two slices. Top with the remaining bread, buttered side facing out.

Step 3

Heat a frying pan over a medium-low heat and cook the toasties for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden and crisp.

Step 4

Press gently with a spatula while cooking to help the cheese melt evenly.

Step 5

Once the cheese is melted and bubbling, remove from the pan and finish with a pinch of sea salt.

Step 6

Slice in half and serve hot with crisps, pickles or your favourite dip.
